Hours on offer: Between 28 hours per week (minimum) and 32.5 hours per week (maximum)
Hourly rate: $30.35 per hour (open to negotiation)

Wing’s Wildlife Park is a family-owned and operated tourism destination offering a multi-award-winning wildlife park, campground, accommodation, and country-style café.
Operating for nearly 40 years, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, relaxed, and nature-filled environment for both visitors and staff. We operate 7 days per week, including most public holidays (closed Christmas Day and Anzac Day).
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cook / Café Allrounder to join our friendly team at 80 Acres Café.
This role is ideal for someone with basic to intermediate kitchen or café experience who is passionate about hospitality and eager to learn and grow within the industry. Whether you are an experienced café cook, an emerging chef, or looking to further develop your skills, we would love to hear from you.
The position involves short-order cooking, food preparation, café service, customer interaction, and assisting with the daily operations of the café in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kitchen & Food Preparation:
- Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with café standards.
- Prepare items including burgers, toasties, hot chips, fish & chips, salads, soups, breakfast meals, and cabinet food.
- Independently run the kitchen and replicate the Chef’s specials when required.
- Assist with catering for group bookings and events.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
- Assist with stock rotation, stock control, and ordering.
- Maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards.
Café & Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Take orders and operate POS/EFTPOS systems.
- Prepare basic hot and cold drinks (barista skills highly regarded).
- Assist with Front of House duties when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Previous kitchen, café, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for the right applicant with a strong willingness to learn.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Food Safety Supervisor Skill Set (SITSS00069), or willingness to obtain.
- RSA Certificate – Tasmania, or willingness to obtain.
- Basic barista skills.
- Physical ability for prolonged standing and lifting.
- Availability between 9:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays.
- No split shifts or late-night work required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Immediate start preferred.
- Applicants must reside in Tasmania.
- Availability for trial shifts may be required.
- We do NOT offer sponsorship.
- Applicants working on a visa must not have minimum or maximum hour restrictions.
- Our location is not eligible for accumulating specified work hours toward a second Working Holiday Visa.
